Danesfield School - Primary

Danesfield School, rated outstanding by OFSTED, is a primary school with this vision: Nurture every child to achieve their full potential.

The school aims to shape every child to achieve their full potential with a love of learning. Students at Danesfield are instilled with a sense of respect for themselves, for others and for property, to become tolerant, empathetic and co-operative citizens. Inspiring lessons, innovative use of IT across the curriculum, outstanding facilities and the involvement of children in the shaping of their community helps to underpin happiness at this school.

Danesfield students acquire knowledge and skills to help them navigate through our rapidly changing world. Danesfield are a Microsoft Showcase School.

Redden Court School – Secondary

Redden Court School is a forward thinking and progressive secondary which provides a high-quality education for the students in the Harold Wood area of Essex.

The school strives to achieve the very best for all their students through the use of advanced technology and a rich variety of educational approaches. The approach to Teaching and Learning at Redden Court very much focuses on the development of thinking skills, growth mindsets and increasingly flexible learners.

The school very successfully uses Chromebooks and Google software across all year groups. G-Suite provides students with countless opportunities to work together with teachers and other students live in the same file, providing real time feedback on the progress being made. Students are engaged with subjects through independent research and access to a host of online content which is extending their learning.

Teachers use Google Classroom to share resources and differentiated work through a virtual learning environment that can be accessed anywhere. Chromebooks are allowing students to push the boundaries with their learning as they use a range of Google Apps to express themselves. As their confidence grows in the standard apps, such as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, other apps are used such as Google Sites and Stop Frame Motion.

Woodberry Down - Primary

An Apple Distinguished School, Woodberry Down Primary is one of three primary schools that form the New Wave Federation.

Grazebrook and Shacklewell Primary Schools have worked in partnership since 2010, with Woodberry Down joining the group in 2014. The partnership has gone from strength to strength with New Wave Federation becoming formalised in March 2016. The schools gain many benefits from working collaboratively by making the most of their shared resources and expertise.

The core purpose of New Wave Federation is to provide the best educational experience for every child together while ensuring outstanding achievement. This is be achieved by engaging in learning opportunities that develop, stretch and excite pupil’s imagination by sparking their curiosity.

As a leader of education my team and I are passionate about sharing our innovative teaching and learning techniques and practices. I am proud of the achievements of the New Wave Federation. I believe that working in partnership with Polka Dot Planning has allowed that sharing process to be made effective and efficient supporting us to deliver our message of “Excellence for All” onto an international platform.

Richard Challoner - Secondary

Richard Challoner is a highly successful Catholic secondary school who have been serving the local community in Surrey since 1959.

A shared vision for the school is supported by the staff, students, parents and governors, which has created a very strong caring and cohesive community based on the Christian values of love, respect and compassion for others.

The school believe that the purpose of education is to prepare their students for the future. As a specialist technology academy, they have always embraced the exciting opportunities created by the digital revolution, and the introduction of iPads was the next stage in engaging and empowering their learners. The use of iPads allow the staff at Richard Challoner to develop their students for future success.

Staff have ongoing iPad training to ensure they are able to continually lead their students to explore and fully engage with the devices.
Richard Challoner School even have an in-house Genius Bar (a tech support station for iPads) run by students, for students. Support and training is available every break and lunchtime at a dedicated area in the main entrance.
